Associate, Asset/ Fund Management

The Role:
As an Associate you will provide high quality analysis to assist in the asset management of direct assets, joint ventures and fund investments across the full range of asset sectors and geographies with the purpose of maximising risk-adjusted returns.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support senior managers in the active management of a mixed portfolio of direct assets, joint ventures and unlisted fund investments located across Europe;
- Provide support, and increasingly taking responsibility for the day to day and strategic management of investments;
- Assist in the management of relationships with joint venture partners, fund managers, co-investors and external service providers (tax, brokers, property management, legal);
- Take responsibility as part of a team for the functional management and financial and other administration of investments and investing entities;
- Build, maintain and adapt detailed financial models to include hold sell analysis, strategic positioning/repositioning of assets, and other ad hoc analysis;
- Report on asset performance;
- Prepare internal approval memos, budgets, strategic asset plans etc.;
- Entity and investment structure management
- Liaise with valuers, legal advisors, tax advisors, brokers, property managers and other service providers involved in the ongoing management of investments.
Experience, Skills Attributes:
- 1-3yrs post graduate experience in asset management and/ or valuation coupled with a good understanding of investment principals within the UK and/ or European commercial real estate market(s);
- Experience of working with funds coupled with a good understanding of financial statements
- MRICS and/ or CFA would be an advantage;
- Solid financial modelling skills are essential;
- A bright, articulate and competent individual who is keen to take responsibility and has the ability to both work independently and as a team player;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
