Professionals within the team work together to deliver a full range
of asset management, risk management and advisory services relevant
to clients' investment needs. Unified under one global client
platform, individual client businesses are accountable for client
relationships and distribution of products and services and are
supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures
consistency globally.
BlackRock is seeking an
Associate Asset Management Advisor to support its Global Wealth
Management Distribution Channel. This individual will develop
accounts in their assigned territory that compliment the sales
activities within BlackRock. Focus will be on the relationship
with the Financial Advisor to promote sales of BlackRock Mutual
Funds, Private Investors, BlackRock in Consults and Alternative
Investment products.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver product
presentations to current and prospective clients via telephone,
office visits, sales seminars, road shows, and
conferences. Facilitate retail seminars in tandem with the
Financial Advisors. - Sell BlackRock products
to established and prospective Financial
Advisors. - Play an instrumental
role in executing coordinated territory coverage with field sales
personnel. This will be accomplished through regularly
communicating with field sales personnel to discuss
territory-related matters involving product emphasis and
positioning, special marketing efforts, industry news and special
issues that affect product sales. - Maintain and develop
knowledge of products and marketing sales strategies from
appropriate journals and attending conferences and
seminars. - Prepare sales
presentations for use in meetings with Financial
Advisors
Requirements:
- BA/BS required,
emphasis on finance or economics preferred. - At least two to three
years of financial sales or customer service work experience
necessary. Candidate must demonstrate thorough knowledge of
the mutual fund industry and of the competition. - Ability to understand
investment products and services, as well as general investment and
securities concepts. - Strong interpersonal
skills necessary to influence distribution of BlackRock Funds and
to communicate complex information to a wide variety of personnel
in a clear, concise and well-organized manner.
Excellent telephone skills required to build relationships with
clients, approach new prospects, follow up on previous sales
efforts, and enhance BlackRock's image. - Professional level of
written and verbal communication skills required to prepare and
present sales plans and materials, provide technical information
regarding products and services, and develop sales
presentations. - Analytical skills
necessary to analyze and interpret complex investment product
information and determine appropriate response to meet the needs of
Financial Advisors. Capable of applying information about the
economy, competitor products and services and other financial
information to influence the sales of BlackRock products and
services. - Series 7 and 66
required.
