Associate, Asset Management recruitment

Position Summary:

The Associate will work as a member of a team to manage a portfolio of existing and future investments in distressed, middle-market corporate loans (the “Portfolio Assets”). The Associate will support Vice Presidents and Directors with analytics and due diligence to provide visibility into key business plans and initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:

• Conduct credit research and analysis on the Portfolio Assets and create related flash reports monthly

• Monitor compliance of Portfolio Assets with existing credit agreements and evaluate / process requested amendments and waivers

• Build and analyze complex operating, valuation and return models for Portfolio Assets

• Understand and monitor portfolio trends and report on funding, cash management compliance and position as directed

• Assist in preparing Investment Committee Memos and other documentation related to the Portfolio Assets

• Prepare quarterly valuation and monthly performance materials

• Analyze impact of various scenarios on investment value of Portfolio Assets

• Provide ad hoc analysis to support company and Fund initiatives and execute analytics to evaluate results

• Assist in preparing internal and external communication documents

• Act as liaison to other Hudson departments such as legal, tax, and accounting

• Collaborate with investment teams to evaluate progress towards its business plan objectives

 Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field

• 3+ years private equity, investment banking, hedge fund or corporate banking experience

• Originations and/or buy-side portfolio management experience a plus

• Workout experience a plus
