The area: New Products, Media and Platforms
The New Products, Media and Platforms (NPMP) group is the link between Product and Sales at Google. NPMP helps take product innovations and turns them into client solutions that enable our customers to get the most out of their spend with Google. NPMP team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling front-line Sales partners to sell effectively and quickly. The role: Associate Business Analyst, Commerce Merchant Solutions
The role of Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance for both Google's partners and Google. You will perform market level analysis on the portfolio of partners to ensure optimization of revenue, based on factors including schedules, pricing, traffic, categorical volume mix etc. This role reports to the Market Manager who manages a portfolio of markets. You will also work closely with other business functions including Sales, Operations, Account Management, Marketing and Product.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize revenue for a local region by analyzing factors such as schedules, pricing, traffic, categorical volume mix etc
- Maintain high deal quality in the assigned region through rigorous deal vetting process
- Perform revenue forecasting, calendar planning, and recommend strategies to scale growth in the local market
- Partner with the commerce operations team to drive efficiency in business operations through process/ system improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
- 1 year work experience in management consulting, banking, brand management or the high tech
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Highly analytical, with a demonstrated track record of strong problem solving and quantitative skills, capable of translating analytical insights into business strategies and actions
- Strong creativity and innovation in discovering actionable results and strategies and ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment
