Associate Business Development Officer, RIA/TPM Channel recruitment

This is an opportunity to work with iShares: the world's most comprehensive and competitive family of exchange traded products with more than 200 exchange traded funds and exchange traded notes offered globally. The RIA Team is seeking a high energy, self-motivated Associate Business Development Officer (ABDO) to build and grow relationships with financial advisors inside the designated segment of Mid-Tier RIA Firms.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage a territory of Mid-Tier RIA's in order to introduce, support and grow use of iShares. This includes identifying opportunities, managing a pipeline of prospective business, and maintaining relationships with appropriate contacts at each firm
• Primary focus on sales driven activity and leveraging technology to maximize the client experience, with 25% of their time outside of the firm meeting with clients.
• Generate and execute strategic business plan
• Deliver branch sales presentations, and conduct face to face meetings with clients and potential iShares prospects
• Utilize the telephone for lead identification, follow-up activity, client profiling, setting up meetings, and sales execution
• Leverage partnerships (home office, etc.) to help identify and close new business
• Travel as needed to industry conferences, regional meetings, and iShares sponsored events
• Develop and leverage key internal relationships to aid in delivering the iShares value proposition to advisors
• Use creative thinking to target clients and develop customized sales messaging/ideas
• Utilize CRM technology to capture sales activities and track the progress of sales opportunities for the territory
• Manage day-to-day operational duties (i.e. manage and track sales lead flow, manage and maintain existing and prospect client databases, report weekly activities and accomplishments, expense reporting, etc.)

Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree required
• CIMA, CFA, or advanced degree preferred
• 5-8 years of experience in the financial services industry
• NASD Series 7 and 66 (or 63 65) required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strategic thinking and prioritization
• Ability to develop relationships with Independent clients and prospects, and ideas and information that will generates sales and assets
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory 25% of the time
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to analyze and speak to comprehensive portfolio and market data
