Associate Business Operations Analyst
GENERAL SUMMARY Provides analytical and cost analysis support for EMC?s Engineering inventory. Prepares reports for use in business planning and analysis for assigned area. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Supports the business through compiling, preparing and reporting metrics and statistical data used in the analysis of operational performance of designated functional area. · Analyzes the inventory and cost data, summarizes and provides concise summaries and recommendations. · Compiles and prepares information and analysis for review by senior level analysts and management. · Actively participates in assigned projects and creates business requirements with the assistance and direction of other associates. · Creates and executes functional programs, practices and processes. Collaborates with team members on issues and problem resolution. · Evaluates business problems and recommends solutions. · Supports day-to-day business operations functions, business system applications and technologies. Performs other duties as required. · Significant cross-functional interaction with the various business units, Finance, Manufacturing and Engineering. SKILLS · Bachelor?s degree with 0-2 years experience. · Good understanding of Cost Accounting and Inventory. · Solid understanding of Material Management with an interest in Engineering lab functions (i.e. partnering with the business). · Outstanding database skills: Brio, Hyperion; MS Office suite: Excel, Access, PowerPoint. · Self-starter; someone who takes initiative. · Ability to work in a team environment. · Strong analytical ability. · Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented. · Strong communication skills.
