ChemicoMays is currently seeking an Associate Chemical Technician at a research facility in Thousand Oaks, CA. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing daily tasks which include but are not limited to the pickup of hazardous waste, registering and receipt of incoming chemicals, delivering chemical packages, sustaining and maintaining chemical stockroom inventory, ordering stockroom supplies, providing customer support to clients, assisting in registering of chemicals into the chemical database to include maintaining accurate spreadsheets and data logs. Candidate may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Other knowledge skills required – Candidate must be able to review, create and maintain company data log sheets. Selected candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office. Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, provide excellent customer service, pay strong attention to detail and be highly organized. Candidate must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and perform as a team player. Selected candidate must be able to stand, walk, bend and reach for a minimum of 6 hours per day and prolonged periods of time. Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 50 lbs up to 10 feet.
Education/Experience – Associate degree required. Two plus (2+) years of experience in a laboratory environment, warehousing, inventory control and working in a stockroom preferred.
