The North American Professional Services team leads and manages all of Nielsen's relationships with consumer-focused manufacturers and retailers. The team includes over 1,600 professionals in the United States and Canada and coordinates all relationships for several hundred clients headquartered in North America including Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Johnson Johnson, Kraft, Hershey's, Heinz, Procter Gamble and Unilever, to name a few. Clients range from CEOs through to senior brand, marketing, sales and market research executives. As an Associate Client Director, you will be responsible for developing and managing annual client business plans, including delivery of contracted products and services and identifying additional revenue opportunities within the client. You will also manage and develop a team of client service associates. You will provide thought leadership and value-added support to the client's business by utilizing Nielsen products and services. You will be responsible for ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, while achieving financial targets.
-Conduct advanced scanning and consumer panel data analyses in support of client's strategic initiatives. Present analyses to senior level client contacts complete with actionable insights and recommendations for the client's business.
-Develop team objectives to deliver client value, and deliver results to meet or exceed objectives.
-Manage selected selling activities at client to meet sales and profit targets.
-Utilize full suite of Nielsen products and services to meet the business needs of client.
-Provide subject matter expertise to client in support of strategic client business issues (e.g. Consumer Relationship Management, New Product Launches).
-Make in-depth capabilities presentations to senior level clients
-Act as a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry consultant and thought leader to senior level associates within the client's organization while also building strong relationships and demonstrating measurable value for Nielsen products and services.
-Manage associate performance and training plans to ensure team members ability to deliver against the client plan. Act as a coach and mentor to associates, conducting performance reviews and providing ongoing performance feedback.
Job Requirements
-5-7 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or market research industry
-Prior experience managing at least 3-5 people
-Demonstrated ability to apply analytic products to CPG industry business issues
-In depth knowledge of Nielsen or similar products and services
-Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office software.
-Demonstrated ability to write proposals and make presentations to medium to large sized groups
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree a plus
