Associate Communications Strategist – Rating Communications recruitment
Key Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for media relations across Euorope, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in the areas of insurance and managed funds for Moody’s Investors Service. The position will also provide primary media support for Moody’s Analytics in the EMEA region and be the prime contact point for media enquiries generated out of the Nordics. The individual will be responsible for helping to ensure that we deliver clear, articulate messages to the media both via the messaging in research rating announcements as well as by preparing spokespeople for media engagement. The role entails working closely with Moody’s analysts and Moody’s Analytics’ experts who rely on Communication Strategists as true counsellors to identify, prioritize, and clarify complex messages to a broad audience in a clear, logical and articulate manner.
The ideal candidate must approach work with a sense of ownership and be able to quickly establish credibility both internally and externally by displaying sound media judgement and providing counsel to the business lines being supported. They will be able to demonstrate experience in reputation management, media strategy formulation and execution and skill in implementing proven tactics that achieve maximum positive media coverage, while mitigating and minimizing inaccurate or negative press in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting in message formulation – recommending ideas for research that would be relevant to the market and identifying ways to improve the quality and timeliness of such research. Key responsibilities also include developing and maintaining effective business relationships with strategic contacts in the print, web-based, and broadcast media; effectively preparing Moody's experts for media interviews as thought leaders on credit risk; and monitoring, analyzing and reporting on resulting coverage.

The Experience
Additional Information/Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, communications, business, or related discipline is required. Master’s degree a plus.
