RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write research reports on publicly traded companies in Australia;
- Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings of the companies in the Australia markets;
- Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment, and shareholder issues gathered through research and engagement with company executives, institutional investors, and government/regulatory/listing authorities;
- Research and develop thematic research reports covering Asia companies; and
- Search through country publications to obtain proxy materials; contact companies to obtain proxy materials.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, be analytical and detail-oriented, have a keen sense of judgment, and be goal-oriented.
- Proficient in the use of web-based and Microsoft Office applications.
- Work independently, take initiatives and interact with the other team members; able to balance competing workloads, and to work to deadlines.
- Economics, Finance, Business, Law, Political Science, or any related courses.
- Recent graduates and investment / finance professionals are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in corporate governance/investment analysis and research is a plus.
