Job Description

Your key responsibility will be to work with one or more Senior Relationship Managers to maximize revenues and customer profitability parameters for the portfolio through new name acquisition, effective cross selling and co-ordination with product partners. Effective credit risk assessment and management will be integral to the role.

Key Roles Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide independent credit analysis and the basis for a credit strategy to maximize the wallet share from clients.
- Prepare Credit Applications which encompasses analysis of customer's industry, business, financials, risks and opportunities and using SCB systems and tools such as Odyssey, MFA etc.
- Assist in preparing industry studies to improve knowledge within Client Relationships of specific markets and industries.
- Have a thorough understanding of the client's industry, business cycles, and other relevant factors.
- Provide Relationship Managers with insights into clients through understanding of Industry sector, client information and account plans.
- Maximize revenues and customer profitability parameters for the portfolio through new name acquisition, effective cross selling and co-ordination with product partners.
- Liaise actively with other departments such as Credit / CRC / CMO / Trade / ALM / GM / Legal / Compliance / PEF/ STF / Finance.
- Maintain and exercise control over allotted portfolios to ensure that services to customers are of the highest standard while constantly monitoring customer quality in order to minimize the risk of loss to the Bank.
- Prepare management reports relating to credit approvals, excesses, extensions etc.
- Liaise with clients to ensure submission of audited financial statements, management accounts, ageing debtors and all other information/ documents required.
- Ensure that all the administrative functions of the team portfolio are done accurately in accordance with laid down procedures and on a timely basis.
- Ensure compliance with the Group's Policy Standards and in-country regulatory requirements and laws pertaining to AML, CFT, KYC etc.

Qualifications Skills

SELECTION CRITERIA:
* Ambitious and dynamic individuals with a strong desire to learn
* At least some years of banking experience, preferably in a credit assessment role
* Strong written verbal communication skills
* Responsive, proactive and team player
* Exposure to the shipping and/or offshore marine sector is desirable but not mandatory
