Associate Database Administrator Job in South Deerfield 01373, Massachusetts US
- Install and sustain reliable operations of database servers and user environments. Collaborate with BIS team members to review opportunities, challenges, and practices.
- Work with BIS staff in the implementation of new technologies to enhance application performance and use productivity. Aid project work as a key resource.
- Monitor the performance of the databases utilizing software tools for efficient and proper operations. Communicate performance variances in a timely matter through periodic reports and dashboards
- Maintain database inventories and design, configuration, version, and support and upgrade information. Track the availability and location of original media sets and documentation for the various service components.
- Provide recommendations to various computing and inter-disciplined corporate projects. Continuously upgrade skill sets to remain current with assigned systems.
- Work with various vendor partners as a point of contact for application rollout support and local subject matter expert.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Management Information Systems or Business Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years administration experience with knowledge of current operation systems is required.
- 1-2 years experience in Oracle 9i-11g databases and/or SQL 2005 – 2012 databases required. Experience with monitoring tools and UNIX as well as experience with RAC and SQL clustering a plus.
- Ability to successfully interact and build collaborative business relationships while quickly adjusting to changing demands and a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills
