Associate Director
My client is a rapidly growing business which provides the full range of investment management services for real estate loan portfolios. These portfolios vary by asset type from residential mortgage backed to commercial backed loan portfolios or direct real estate investments and are located across Europe.
The Company’s aim is to proactively manage the assets to maximise the returns within the risk parameters set during the underwriting process. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a strong level of exposure and responsibilty to real estate loan workout/restructuring/recovery, ideally in an Irish bank.
Role description includes:
- Prepare business plans and periodic forecasts - as well as ad hoc reports – and implement and update the plans on an ongoing basis;
- Oversee complex financial analyses, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses;
- Develop and ensure execution of strategies to maximize the recovery and resolution of the loans assigned,
- Manage negotiations with the borrowers and other involved parties;
- Ensure effective local servicing on each of the loans; Determine the best approaches for the use of 3rd party providers in the management of the loan portfolios and maintain comprehensive oversight of the relationships, service levels and costs;
- Coordinate interaction with Real Estate professionals to evaluate potential recoveries and to manage collaterals;
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial loan asset management.
- Deep analysis of Real-Estate backed loan portfolios using complex analytical models to determine the optimum strategy and plans for the assets;
- Hands-on implementation of strategies for loan assets in Ireland, with a track record of delivering against the strategies and plans;
- Established relationships with third party providers and proven ability to manage them against clear SLAs;
- Negotiations and restructurings of loans backed by real estate assets;
- Self-starter and focused
This position is to be based in Dublin and therefore a candidate looking to relocate back there, from London, would be ideal.
