Associate Director
The candidate will work with the Direct Lending team in transacting new investments that lends monies to medium sized companies in the UK. This fund makes loans on a bilateral basis to companies with introductions coming direct or indirectly through independent brokers, banks or debt financial advisers.
Key aspects of the role will include:
• Supporting the Direct Lending team on the origination and evaluation of new investments including: researching information on companies for initial meetings with companies, production of a one-pager or short summary of the company for consideration by the pipeline meeting and/or Investment Committee
• Execution of new transactions for the Fund, including: due diligence visits, preparing full investment papers, financial modelling, structuring and legal documentation
• Participating in pipeline meetings, attendance at Investment Committee meetings, including for other investments
The ideal candidate will have:
• Extensive origination and execution experience of Leveraged Finance transactions in the UK
• Excellent credit analysis,financial modelling and legal documentation skills
• Strong client facing skills
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Team player and flexible in approach
• Motivated, a self starter and an ability to work independently
Candidates are likely to come from a leading Corporate or Investment Bank's Leveraged Finance team in London, or alternatively a Big 4 Restructuring team with Leveraged Finance experience and ideally a secondment to a Bank's leveraged origination or restructuring team.
