The Associate Director and Senior Human Resources Business Partner is an exciting and strategic HR role based out of the Shire offices in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Working as part of a global function, this role will partner with executive international business leads in the Corporate function.
Utilizing extensive knowledge of the business and HR, the Director will be accountable for the diagnosis, design and delivery of HR programs and services to functional groups on a global basis.
They will works strategically and in partnership with the business to develop and implement strategies around workforce planning, leading organizational change and design; managing culture and maintaining a positive, highly productive work environment; talent management; and reward and recognition.
The Associate Director will form effective and lost lasting relationships with the business and maintain an extensive understanding of objectives and operating environment to be able to deliver applicable solutions.
Serving as a member of HR senior management team of the aligned business groups, the position will require an exceptional communicator with a strong business aptitude, who has the ability to work cross functionally as part of a global model.
Previous experience in partnering with Corporate functions (Legal, Finance, Corporate Communications, IT) as well experience of working in other geographies outside the UK is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To create and lead HR strategy for assigned group(s) ensuring in line with both business and Global HR objectives.
• Partner with assigned business/functional group(s) and HR counterparts to provide consultation, development, and the delivery of HR programs and services to the group(s).
• Act as primary point of contact for leaders of the group(s), representing the interests of the group(s) to the HR group and vice versa
• Lead organizational change and design for Groups supported by working proactively with senior management and HR specialists to identify operating, process, and workforce requirements and implement appropriate solutions. Drive corporate change initiatives through to the business.
• Maintain thorough understanding of key activities and issues with other functions/groups and collaborate with other HR BPs / COE / HR Operations to ensure organizational communication, and enable success of cross-functional efforts.
• Works collaboratively with counterparts to ensure global alignment around HR issues and opportunities within the group(s)
• Provide management information and trend data to the group(s), diagnosis related opportunities for improvement, and recommend and follow through with appropriate action
• Collaborate with Total Rewards to provide support to the business for compensation and benefit issues.
• Partner with recruitment on critical roles and ensuring overall recruitment needs are met
• Lead Year End process for assigned group(s).
• Plan and implement human resources projects and programs as assigned.
• May act as Team Member or Team Leader on various HR or business project teams locally or globally.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience working independently in a generalist, recruitment, employee relations capacity in an EMEA HR role.
• Demonstrated experience working in a strategic HR capacity.
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Confident communicator with excellent relationship building skills
