Associate Director APAC Business Development and Marketing for Global Rating Provider recruitment
Our client is a global rating provider and for its APAC business is now hiring a talented Associate Director for the Business Development and Marketing Department to lead the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Develop and lead pan regional marketing activities in North Asia (with a first priority for Japan) including execution of country-specific programs - events, webinars and eDM campaigns - that support business objectives
- Provide marketing support to marketing and sales teams to increase key licensee partner program activities.
- Establish sustainable relationships with key local partners and external vendors throughout the region in an effort to build product awareness, generate leads and build profile for the brand
- Promote local language communications through intensive PR activity
- Developing collateral and other communications (including press materials) necessary to promote index products in North Asia
- Collaborating with professional level staff positions; creating and controlling marketing budgets; strategic planning; strong ability to work with senior management in developing, organizing and implementing strategic marketing objectives and tactical plans
- Participating in conference calls with overseas colleagues after regular business operating hours
- Responsibility dealing with online, database, and interactive marketing as well as in classic marketing.

- Must have a strong understanding of the financial information services space and remain linked into market leaders and trends. Solid understanding of the delivery of information through multiple media. Knowledge and experience in financial product sales, project management and/or product development/management a plus
- Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and oral). Proficiency in other languages such as Korean would be an advantage
- A minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, preferably in the financial services industry. 7+ years creating and managing to detailed marketing programs and budgets

- Strong financial services knowledge and experience working in Japan and across the Asia Pacific region preferred
- Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in marketing, finance, business management, information systems or communications a plus; advanced degree (MBA/MS) a plus
- Excellent computer literacy a must including Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
