Kraft Latin America is headquartered in Miami, Florida, but operates in 5 Business Units: Brazil, Mexico, Southern Cone (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay), Andean (Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia) and CARICAM (Central America and the Caribbean). The Associate Director Business Development, Latin America (LA) will influence LA leadership in the development, evaluation and execution of strategic growth projects such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, post-merger integration as well as key organic projects.
Specifically, the Associate Director will:
- Conduct industry research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities
- Construct financial and operating models and/or guide investment banks or team analysts
- Prepare presentation materials and present to Kraft management
- Manage and maintain relationships with Investment Banks, Consultants and/or other Advisors
- Lead cross-functional teams in transformational initiatives - organic and non-organic
- Have the ability to identify and translate value creation initiatives
- Interact with multiple internal clients: LA BU Presidents, Functional VPs; Corporate MA
- Support effective and integrated management of the relationship with I-Banks and other advisory companies
- Operate with awareness and understanding of macro drivers of economic and consumption trends LA
- Act with discretion and focus on protecting confidentiality of projects
Dimensions:
- Critical role in developing initiatives with impact on 5 Latin America BU's (Mexico, Central America Caribbean, Andean, Brazil and Southern Cone)
- This person will be Project driven. Will work as an individual contributor or lead cross-functional projects with multiple local and regional team members.
- 80% of time will be focused on 1-2 projects; 20% of time will be maintaining pipeline of projects; assisting organization to strengthen external perspective.
Specific Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance/Economics or business-related discipline
- MBA preferred
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese required
- 7 or more years of work experience; 3-6 years post MBA
- Mergers and acquisition experience required
- Experience in top -tier strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity and/or business planning/strategy group of a large corporation
- Consumer Industry knowledge and experience preferable
- Experience working internationally and affinity for Latin America
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and to build relationships across the organization
- High capability to articulate and influence decision makers
- Superior quantitative, business analysis and financial modeling skills
- Strategic agility and creativity
- Self-starter with ability to manage and deal with ambiguity
- Travel: 30-50% of annual working days
