Fitch Ratings is seeking a self-motivated, inquisitive professional with credit experience to be responsible for recommending and monitoring bond ratings for public and private colleges, cultural institutions and other nonprofit borrowers.

Responsibilities:
* Formulating rating recommendations and supporting rationale for credit committees
* Gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
* Detailed analysis of financial statements
* Communicating ratings decisions through written research
* Ensuring the consistent, thorough and transparent application of rating criteria
* Keeping abreast of both FASB and GASB accounting changes
* Writing topical reports on industry trends
* Building and maintaining strong professional relationships and participating in industry events
* Public speaking and communicating with the press are also important aspects of the position

Requirements:
* At least 3 to 5 years financial/credit analysis experience in the higher education sector
*A graduate degree, with MBA or CFA preferred
* Excellent writing and communication skills
* Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
*Proficient knowledge of standard business software
