Associate Director – Finance recruitment
SFT delivers investment programmes, supports major procurements, develops innovative financing models and is initiating a new programme of improvement and strategic disposals across public sector real estate.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of revenue-funded infrastructure projects in the existing £2.5billion Non-Profit Distributing (NPD) and hub programmes as well as making a general contribution to the development of new financing models. The projects and programmes span social and economic infrastructure and this job includes elements of central structuring and development of innovative financing and delivery mechanisms and may involve secondment into project teams across Scotland.
Your background should be in one or more of the following areas: (a) the operation of PPP projects; (b) the development of financing structures; or (c) a bank project finance team. More generally, you’ll need relevant knowledge and experience of revenue-funded investment, including PPP projects, from a finance, legal, technical or delivery perspective. You must also have proven understanding of the dynamics of the public/private sector interface as well as of infrastructure procurement, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a demonstrable enthusiasm for making a major contribution through your specialist skills and knowledge.
