Associate Director, Head of CASA Market Data Administration recruitment
The Associate Director, Head of Finance Administration for the Content Acquisition Strategic Alliances (CASA) team will support a centralized function for SP Capital IQ's business divisions for the acquisition and distribution of 3rd party content. The role will implement internal controls to ensure that use of 3rd party content contracts meet the needs of our businesses and ensure SP' Capital IQ's compliance with all terms and conditions.
Primarily focusing on the Finance Administration pillar of CASA, the selected candidate will establish and manage the various processes and procedures related to the centralization, tracking and documentation related to all contract documents and key terms, existing and projected costs, user inventories, invoice reconciliation and internal and external contacts. Manage process for reviewing contracts and summarizing their terms in a central system in conjunction with finance terms and entitlement details. The candidate will also assist in coordination of CASA's 3rd party content acquisition strategy in a way that maximizes the benefits to the business while securing contracts and providing financial reports that leverage SP Capital IQ's global scale and presence. This position will have primary responsibility for all of CASA's global initiatives related to Finance Administration.
Essential Accountabilities
Manage, guide and mentor staff on CASA Finance Administration team, delegating the following responsibilities to staff where appropriate:
- Understand CASA team workflow and create and manage processes to optimize the capture, tracking and centralize of pertinent contract, cost, invoice, user and contact information in a centralized system.
- Work with finance departments to lead and coordinate annual and interim budget process for forecasted and actual costs for 3rd party services used throughout the business units and distributed via SP Capital IQ's various products and services. Collaborate on and execute workflow for invoice reconciliation and payment processing and work with finance departments to provide regular reporting and assistance. Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Reviewing contracts and summarizing their terms in a central database system along with finance terms and entitlement details.
- Contribute to, guide and support the contract renewal process globally for CASA including informing applicable CASA team members on timing for re-negotiation and re-evaluation of existing contracts worth approximately $40 million to $75 million
- Own subscription and change management process and tracking across the company - including, user ID's, passwords, costs, reviewing usage reports, etc. for internal users of various applications and subscriptions.
- Maintain information and documentation regarding CASA Finance Administration policies, procedures, events, vendor, market and internal information on CASA group's intranet site.
Additional Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with finance and accounts payable teams throughout the organization as well as external vendors on invoice reconciliation and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to better document CASA workflow, projects and documentation in a centralized medium such as the CASA team intranet set. Work with manager for guidance on execution.
- Assist and work with manager and directly with business unit stakeholders to deliver general and specific reports regarding their overall data requirements and spend; and work with members of other teams to understand and identify and address issues or opportunities that lead to effective data management processes and improvements.
- Working with global CASA resources on development and enhancement of systems and other support tools.
Skills
- Bachelors degree required with 7+ years relevant experience focused on contract analysis and database maintenance and budget management in order to support review of all 3rd Party License Agreements and poses ability to identify and organize key information to be populated into a centralized database on an ongoing basis.
- Comfortable with reviewing, understanding and disseminating contract terms.
- Experience with implementation and management with data entitlements and vendor management systems such as MDSL or FITS a plus. CASA is in the process of implementing the FITS database, and data entry into this system as well as functionality design and report creation will be key functional aspects of this position and the team managed by this position.
- Excellent Microsoft Office and web services skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Website information population, etc. This position will frequently work within Word for contractual review, Excel for costs/budget and other reporting, PowerPoint for presentations, Outlook for mail calendar, as well as a web-based intranet site where various important CASA team information is stored.
- Must have strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to design and develop responsive solutions to client inquiries and problems. CASA is a centralized business support team and function, and all business stakeholders within the firm are our customers.
- Comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills with ability to influence.
- Excellent organizational and team building skills. Must be highly organized and self-directed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to inspire others to find creative solutions to challenging situations or problems.
- Successful prior management experience is a must.
- Proven track record of building and managing similar Finance Administration-related processes, functions and teams is a must.
