We represent one of Australasia’s top ranked specialist financial institutions. They service the financial needs of corporate, institutional and government clients both locally and offshore. They are a leading provider of wholesale banking services in this area, with an increasing presence in the Asia/Pacific region. The bank’s industry focused relationship management teams are supported by specialised product expertise in financial markets, capital markets and transactional banking. They are now seeking an additional Associate Director to join the Infrastructure and Utilities team in Melbourne or Sydney.
Reporting to a sector head, you are charged with driving strategic engagement with clients at senior management levels (Treasurer, CFO/CEO), deepening the bank’s knowledge and understanding of client objectives and positioning the bank pro-actively to deliver financial solutions across its specialist capability set. Primary responsibilities will also include building and developing business within the infrastructure / utilities industry sector as well as coordinating execution of transactions. You will be responsible for the performance of the portfolio and will work closely with product specialists and credit to ensure appropriate business growth and required returns are achieved.
You are likely to have gained considerable relationship management / origination experience within institutional banking, capital markets or investment banking; ideally gained in a large multi-geography and multi product
organisation. A working knowledge of and active network at senior levels of management across a range of corporations, financial sponsors, advisers and government within the infrastructure and utilities sectors of the economy is also important. You will also be required to demonstrate highly developed credit, investment, negotiation and origination skills, and a proven track record in closing complex deals. Postgraduate studies in finance and/or an MBA are highly regarded.
