Job Description:
This position will lead and deliver strategic initiatives that facilitate attainment of Market Access group's sales performance objectives. This position is responsible for all the day-to-day Market Access field operations and leads all related core process development and management. It will manage field force size/structure, alignment, strategic targeting plans, sales incentive plans, data, analytics reporting, and various sensitive initiatives supporting Market Access Team. This position requires the ability to lead a variety of people, process and system development within Sales Operations and cross-functionally. This position requires strong collaboration skills, strong customer focus, and the ability to effectively interact with a variety of internal stakeholders, departments, sales and marketing management, strategic partners, market intelligence, and outside vendors. This position will work very closely with the Director Sales Force Optimization and Planning, providing project and functional / cross-functional leadership for strategic and highly sensitive initiatives. This position maintains focus on continuous improvement and creation of industry best internal and customer facing operations and processes.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Accountable for development and maintenance of sales force structure and alignments
- Responsible for timely development and communication of Sales Incentive Plans (SIP), supporting related business review and calibration meetings, creation and dissemination of timely and accurate SIP payroll, accrual, and SIP related reporting
- Ensure all Market Access and Field Advocacy Field Operations are supported by data, analytics and metrics
- Oversee the development and implementation of Market Access CRM tool supporting field personnel
- Support the development and daily oversight of all field team budgets on an annual basis in concert with Annual planning budget planning process.
- Work closely with OAPI Training Division on Annual Training Plan development for field based teams
- Provide POA planning/coordination, calendar management, and when needed integrate Market Access and Government Affairs meeting requirements
- Develop SOP specific to field based teams for associated processes.
- Have the ability to constructively challenge, and proactively gain buy-in from key Executive Level stakeholders.
- Responsible for establishing strong customer service practices
- Coordinates with Sales Operations Leadership in for all Operational needs including SFA system requirements, data, analytics, and POA planning.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives within Sales Operations
- Develop and maintain stringent quality control process and measures that ensures the accuracy of all reports and information disseminated from Sales Operations
- Research and evaluate vendors and tools in the marketplace for better resources and data assets to assist in strategic and operational decision making across OAPI's commercial franchises.
- Prepare and present business case seeking approvals where necessary.
- Manage a variety of internal and external customers to facilitate the flow of information throughout the company for improvement of sales processes.
- Actively participate and make recommendation for refinement to business plans, sales force goals, and sales forecasts based on reports, analyses, and data generated from the sales force reporting systems.
Requirements:
· Minimum of a BA/BS degree is required
· Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical industry experience
· Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working with Market Access functional groups with strong understanding of managed markets and related data
· Minimum 4 years of market research (primary and secondary - various databases- marketed and developmental products) or similar experience within the Pharmaceutical industry
· Minimum 4 years experience / knowledge of sales operations, Incentive Compensation, targeting alignments, training is required
· Experience / knowledge of working in Matrix Management Structure with Project Management, Coordination and People Management in a Team environment
· Proficient in Analytics and strong excel spreadsheet skills are a must
Preferred:
· Post graduate degree in business, life science desired
· SAS/SQL working knowledge
