Description Under general supervision, assists in the admissions efforts of the college. Supervises admissions staff to ensure effective and efficient transfer evaluation and processing of student applications. Oversees data collection and management functions related to admissions records. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all the duties of an Admissions Associate. Assists in managing the admissions component of the college. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Develops innovative plans to support college goals of attracting and retaining an academically talented and diverse student population. Develops and disseminates admission and transfer information through presentations and publications, working in conjunction with on-campus and off-campus constituents as well as statewide and regional contacts. Develops and maintains relationships with students and the academic affairs office to facilitate communications and cooperative efforts that ensure optimal programs and processes for beginning students. Serves on college committees and task forces as needed. Manages collection and retention of applicant data. May coordinate the development of computer systems and projects, recommend and implement information technologies to support and enhance established goals, coordinate the statistical reporting needs of the department, and serve as liaison with college?s computing center with regard to student database applications. Assists in developing the annual operating budget and provides direction to the department. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
