Associate Director – WIB – Large Corporates recruitment
Contribute to the development of Sector Strategy within the Automotive portfolio
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to fill the role as Associate Director within the Large Corporates team. The successful applicant will look after a portfolio of Automotive clients and will be responsible for contributing and driving the bank's Auto Sector Strategy. The role is based out of Melbourne and will require you to work closely with other team members locally, interstate and offshore. The ability to work independently and within a team is critical.
Major Accountabilities of Position Include:
- Contributing to the development of the Auto sector strategy identification of business opportunities through proactive research;
- Providing effective deal support through accurate and thorough research analysis;
- Protecting WIB's assets by applying sound credit management practices;
- Contributing to team meetings through offering insights into the current sector performance and emerging trends;
- Your main focus will be on:
- Providing industry and customer research to identify potential opportunities and to address and manage potential risks.
- Risk profiling, financial analysis, modelling related credit submission activities.
- Undertaking dynamic risk management of defined customer portfolio incorporating accurate timely monitoring of triggers, covenants, completion of periodic reviews and continuous risk monitoring.
- Collaborating (information sharing working relationships) and contributing to the completion of strategic selling papers.

Skills
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous industry knowledge/experience in the Automotive / Consumer sectors would be valued but is not a prerequisite
- Sound credit skills with an understanding of bank loan and debt markets
- Good financial modelling skills
- Advanced corporate banking credit skills with an understanding of bank loan and debt markets
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Finance or Accounting)
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
