Associate Director/Director, Corporate Intelligence services, Forensic Department recruitment

Responsibilities:

• Deal with leading Russian and international clients in complex and challenging assignments

• Experience the excitement of contributing to a dynamic and constantly changing environment

• Lead and develop the service line including strategic expansion of service portfolio

• Leadership of the CI forensic group, which is expected to grow strongly to meet demand

• Strategic development of the CI service line, including initiation of new services and product offerings to clients

• Development and maintenance of relationships that bring in business

• Management of a network of sources and contacts

• Anticipation and management of future resource requirements

• Supervision and development of managers and junior staff

• Maintain a high performing team, focus on quality, integrity and delivery

• Deal effectively with engagement and service line risk management

• Deal with Client’s General Directors, owners of the business, external investors and human source contacts

• Manage and evaluate performance of junior staff members

• Work effectively with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners in other KPMG business units and overseas offices

Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in law, journalism, public policy, political science, international affairs, regional studies, history, economics or similar. Applicants with education in sciences may also be considered. We expect very strong academic qualifications. Advanced degrees are a definite advantage.

• At least 7 years' experience of corporate intelligence work as an investigative analyst and proven track record in business development, team and project management, operation in a client-facing role.

• Proven academic track record

• Excellent English speaking and drafting skills.

• Experience overseas (academic or employment-related) is preferable.

• Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset - FSU languages is a clear plus.

• Expert and deep understanding of political and economic undercurrents in Russia and the CIS

• Experience with key tools: databases (e.g., Lexis-Nexis, Factiva, Integrum, Spark, OneSource, or their equivalents), search engines and data mining techniques, specialized analytical software (such as I2 Analyst’s Notebook and IBase), and general MS Office applications

• Expertise in analysis of information and intelligence sources

• Should have an extensive network of human source contacts

• Excellent command of both English and Russian (other languages are beneficial)

• High levels of personal integrity and ability to work in a discreet and confidential manner

• Ability to establish instant credibility and make quick, accurate judgments of facts or character

• Motivation for development and career growth and able to instill similar motivation in the team around them

• An enquiring and creative mind, strong analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong reasoning skill, including the ability to understand complex data, handle simultaneously conflicting information and hypotheses, to identify source biases, and to develop robust logical inferences
