Associate Executive Director Job in Houston, Texas US
The Associate Executive Director is responsible for coordinating organization, programmatic, and financial elements of the services provided to residents in care. Ensure each child's physical, social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs are met through promoting best practices, facilitating optimum delivery of services and ensuring each resident's safety and well-being.
Requirements:
Hold a valid Administrator's license for the facility. Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent degree education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science OR A valid Administrator's license for the facility and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science plus five years of experience as the director of a licensed child care program, residential youth program or similar program for children and adolescents; or five years of progressive project management on projects demonstrating advanced levels of financial and managerial responsibilities.
Training and/or experience in child care programming, residential youth program management, staff supervision, program development, evaluation, and financial management.
Must possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally though speaking and writing. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to take initiative in taking on tasks and completing tasks. Must have a "self-starter" approach. Must be able to plan, prioritize, and execute under pressure. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
MUST HAVE A CHILDCARE ADMINISTRATOR'S LICENSE
