The University’s Strategic Plan 2011-2015 includes a $900M capital expenditure program that will significantly transform University facilities over the next three years.
We are seeking up to two Associate Finance Directors to work within our Financial Services unit. One position will report to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer/Director Corporate Finance and the other will report to the Finance Director, Divisions of Arts Social Sciences Financial Services. In these roles you will:
- provide high level strategic and financial advice, performance analysis and operational effectiveness to the senior management team
- ensure an effective finance service is provided to the portfolio
- provide effective staff leadership and management to small teams of specialist staff in the portfolio.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- experience in staff leadership and management
- extensive experience in strategic and operational financial management and reporting (Strategic Plan, Budget, Actual, Forecast etc) gained within a large, complex organisation
- a degree in Commerce, Economics or Business and membership of a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. CA or CPA or international equivalent).
There are up to two positions available. One position is within Divisional Financial Services, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the second position is located within Corporate Finance.

Remuneration package: $160,043 - $166,390 p.a. (which includes a base salary of $135,545 - $140,970 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
