Associate – Global Private Equity Investor recruitment

The firm invests in a number of different asset classes including private equity, in which its existing investments carry a net asset value of c. half a billion pounds. With an outstanding track record as a private equity investor, the firm intends to increase its exposure to this asset class. As consequence, it is looking to expand its investment team and is currently seeking to hire an Associate.

Using its own balance sheet, the firm invests on a global basis across a range of sectors and geographies. It is flexible in its strategy, investing in varied transactions spanning growth equity through to more traditional buyouts. It is able to invest as both a majority and minority investor (coinvesting alongside best of breed funds and investors from around the world).

Associates are involved in all aspects of the investment process including the origination and evaluation of potential investments, financial modelling and due diligence. The successful candidate will also work with portfolio businesses, including business planning and the negotiation of exits. In order to apply you should be working as a Senior Analyst or Junior Associate within either the mergers and acquisitions or leveraged finance division of a leading global investment bank.  You will have an outstanding academic profile, coupled with strong analytical and financial skills. Candidates must be comfortable working in a small and entrepreneurial environment, which will offer them early responsibility and autonomy. You will be confident interacting at a senior level, and will possess strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent written and spoken English is a prerequisite, whilst fluency in another language (European or other) is desirable but not essential.
