Associate HR Business Partner Job in Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Position: Associate HR Business Partner

Location: Mississauga, Canada

About the Position / Essential Responsibilities:

·         Research and respond to employee queries

·         Provide the on-boarding for new hires and transferees from other countries

·         Provide all off-boarding formalities

·         Drive the Performance Management initiatives including the annual appraisal process, progressive discipline and performance based separations.

·         Educate and coach management and employees on Policy procedure related questions

·         Plan, coordinate and implement Engagement activities (skip level meetings, town halls, client visits, company outings, etc.)

·         Center of Excellence involvement including delivery of corporate HR programs from  the Compensation team, Organizaton Effectiveness, Learning Development, Benefits and Recruiting activities

·         Process and troubleshoot HR transactions within the PeopleSoft system

·         Coordinate, promote and distribute Rewards Recognition program

·         Provide Front-end support of various compensation projects, queries, and pay programs.

·         Resolve problems resulting from employee Payroll, timesheet, OT, expense payments, travel or other employee transaction.

·         Provide front-end support of Immigration related issues and cases

·         Work closely with the Manager of Benefits for North America in regards to the benefit plans to ensure they are well suited for attracting and retaining employees in Canada.

·         Serve as Single Point of Contact for other HR practices

·         Participate in projects as required such as company acquisitions, process improvements, and   various policy changes.

 

Requirements:

-          Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

-          2-5 years of work experience, preferably as an HR Generalist

-          Working knowledge of Canadian Health Welfare and Retirement benefits a preference

-          Financial services or other related industry experience preferred

-          Strong understanding of Canadian employment/labor laws and practices
