Associate, International Funds Management– Projects and Product Development – London recruitment

Investment management products and services is a core offering within J.P. Morgan Private Banking.
It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds. These strategies are delivered to clients in a variety of structures, including fund and fund wrappers.
The Private Bank Global Funds platform is a multi-fund platform that provides pooled investment solutions to Private Banking clients around the globe.
This platform comprises 540 funds with approximately $45 billion in assets under management.
The Global Funds Management team is responsible for the product development, product management and delivery of J.P. Morgan proprietary and third party fund solutions for clients of J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
The existing coverage of the team includes various tailored alternative, hybrid and long-only fund solutions.
Within the Global Funds Management team, the International Funds Management team, based in London, specializes in funds for international clients of the Private Bank, primarily in EMEA and Asia.

Main responsibilities and duties
This role will focus on:
a)
supporting the project management of all business change and regulatory projects led by the International Funds Management team that impact the Private Bank's product palette, business and operating model.
This is across all asset classes
b)

regulated fund solutions, across a range of investment strategies, tailored for international clients of the Private Bank, including bespoke as well broadly distributed funds.
It encompasses both product development and product management activities.
Key activities of the role include:
Projects - all asset classesWorking with the lead Programme/project manager to scope the nature of the industry, regulatory or business change requiredDeveloping and maintaining all project documentation: project plans, project risk and issues logs and managing activities across all impacted functions in IPBConducting business analysis in specific areas as directed, to identify gaps and develop innovative solutionsFor smaller projects or pieces of work, lead the project though strategy development, project definition, and implementation working across all functions of the Private Bank.
Product development - regulated fundsWorking with various asset class leaders to scope product ideas which include both new product ideas and enhancements/changes to existing fundsIn conjunction with a broader team, manage overall development cycle of new product launches, including the delivery across all functions within the business and with third party administrators
This position is based in London, is open-ended and offers excellent future mobility opportunities into other areas of our business.
The position will require significant time commitment when necessary and there is a high level of senior management exposure.

Qualifications
Essential experienceProject and change management experience in delivering complex product related projects or new business initiatives across a range of functions and regionsAbility to instill structure and processAbility to quickly analyse current business practices to identify gaps and develop innovative solutionsExperience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in the development and delivery of regulated UCITS investment management productsGood understanding of the product development lifecycle and ability to manage and deliver new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environment
