Associate, Investment Banking recruitment

The Power, Utilities and Infrastructure team of this international bank focuses on origination of MA mandates covering both buy and sell-side opportunities across the power, utilities and infrastructure sectors, with a focus on large clients ($1bn+ EV) and top-line roles (sole or joint lead arranger and/or book runner) on transactions.

Due to continued growth, the team is looking to recruit an Associate who will be involved in a wide range of transactions, from MA (financial advisory) to eventually ECM. Responsibilities include client interaction, financial modelling and due diligence for advisory transactions. The role will also involve some travel.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess the following: 

- To be tertiary qualified in Finance, Commerce or Engineering; 

- 4-5 years relevant investment banking experience, ideally with MA advisory credentials from a top tier investment bank and utility or infrastructure sector experience;

 - Strong financial acumen, including solid understanding of PL and financial products; and outstanding modelling (DCF) skills; 

- Strong communication and presentation skills when dealing with both internal and external parties; 

- Ability to work across multiple divisions.

Candidates with other sector experience will be considered for other industry groups.
