Associate, Investor Analytics (Investment Management) recruitment
These are not entry level positions and do require a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 7 years "total" full-time work experience given the level of these positions. The Project Management/Portfolio Change position requires between 4 and 7 years max total work experience.

Strong quant and analytical skills are sought for three challenging positions:
1) Investor Analytics team: this mid-level position will be on the investor consultancy team that is responsible for researching and answering complex investor questions that pertain to risk, market movements, market performance, portfolio construction, etc. This team is heavily relied on by numerous investment and client facing personnel. This team requires well honed quantitative and analytical skills as well as a client service bend. Candidates with 1 - 7 years total max work experience w/background from quantitatively focused college programs quant focused employment history sought for this challenging learning opportunity.
2) Portfolio Analytics: These positions will create custom analytics for institutional investors as well as research and answer institutional investor questions about portfolio performance and allocation. These positions play a tremendously large role in ensuring transparency and communicating understanding about how each portfolio performed and why it performed the way that it did, i.e. - communicating a full understanding of what happened in the markets? These positions are also heavily relied upon by company executives to communicate overall portfolio performance across all asset classes, strategies, global markets. Candidates for this position must have a knack for communicating complex terminology in simplistic terms to ensure understanding as well as a strong quant focused background. (1 - 6 years max total work experience)
3) Change Project Manager (Portfolio Design and Implementation): these positions will work closely with the institutional investor and nearly all investment related departments acting as the Change Project Manager to manage and guide the investor through portfolio changes. The Change Project Manager will play a large role in helping the investors design their portfolios in the most optimal way, and once designed, this position will guide the portfolio implementation and change process throughout the company working closely with the investor, numerous departments and the investment teams. These positions are heavily relied on by the organization for their understanding of portfolio structure and the entire investment process (portfolio structuring to the settlement process) (4 - 7 years max total work experience for this position)
We are looking for those inventive, goal oriented individuals that easily see the big picture, but can also put all the pieces together and execute. Seeking those that are looking for an exceptionally quantitative and analytical growth and learning opportunity.
Extensive markets, financial instrument, portfolio structure, and risk management training is provided for these positions. (Portfolios are invested in nearly all major asset classes/instruments and in over 70+ global markets). Once trained, chosen candidates will be applying their newly acquired knowledge to work on one of the two teams described above depending on background, and experience.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree from a top tier 1 university. Highly competitive cumulative GPA required. SAT Math scores of 700 or above (OR) ACT Math score of 31 or above - required.
- Degrees from quantitative programs highly preferred: mathematics, engineering, financial engineering, financial mathematics, economics, statistics, operations research, hard sciences; however, background or coursework in finance is required.
- Candidates with consulting experience are encouraged to apply.
- 1 - 7 years "total" work experience in a quantitative and analytically rigorous position: investment management, (risk management, portfolio structuring or optimization, investment/quant/research analyst); investment banking (MA, due diligence, structured finance/structured products, securitization, etc.); or consulting; however, we may also consider candidates transitioning from other areas such as insurance, pharma, or Biotech that have some experience or coursework in finance. PLEASE NOTE: given the level of these positions we "cannot" consider those with more total work experience for these positions.
- Quick, logical decision maker with proven ability to solve complex problems (exceptional quantitative and analytical skills required).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (logic statements, pivot tables) required. Experience with SQL and VBA or other programming language preferred but not required.
- Must work extremely well under pressure, and tight deadlines, and have the proven ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Client service mentality required. Prior experience directly interfacing with clients highly preferred.
Portfolio Change Management Position Qualifications:
* 4 to 7 years total maximum full-time work experience, with at least 2 years in finance/asset management
* MBA preferred, but not required.
* At least 1 year project management experience
* Strong knowledge of the entire investment process from beginning to end including a solid understanding of back office operations/settlements process. Must have a solid understanding of most major financial instruments and how they settle. Ideal candidates would be COO's or CIO's of small entrepreneurial start-up and/or small investment management companies, investment consultants, internal project managers for investment managers, I-Banks, etc.
* Demonstrated client relationship management skills, both internal and external client
