Associate Manager, Sales Training and Dev. Neuroscience Job in Princeton 27606, New Jersey US

*Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for developing, delivering, evaluating and updating training programs to enhance the account managers' ability to successfully perform their jobs in the hospital marketplace. Contributes to the team responsible for hospital training. Works with hospital training vendors to customize training programs to be consistent with OAPI objectives and Medical, Legal and Regulatory standards. Assists in the development of training programs including concept design, materials development and implementation. Continually assesses the training and developmental needs of the Hospital account managers to ensure and maintain the high quality of the sales force. Evaluates the effectiveness of the training programs. Works with Marketing to ensure consistency of hospital training programs to product strategy. Serves as a resource to Marketing and Sales Management teams.

• Assumes role of primary trainer for Hospital sales team including delivering hospital training, current and future product training for supported brands, and all other topics covered in Basic and Advanced Training curriculum for the Hospital sales team.

• Trains representatives on hospital, product knowledge, competition, basic to advanced selling/negotiation skills, business acumen, administrative procedures, general medical terminology, managed care and disease management.

• Assists in the design, development, and implementation of the Hospital account manager training programs in a wide variety of formats including written and other media-based training.

• Conducts Basic Training including Home study and live events

• National/POA meeting training sessions - including pre-POA preparation

• Creates and works with vendors to develop follow-up programs for continuation of Hospital account manager development.

• Works closely with Patient and Branding Strategy to plan for and develop programs that support the marketing strategies.

• Works closely with Sales Leadership to plan and develop programs that support the sales strategies.

• Evaluates and recommends outside vendor training resources and programs.

• Manages all training content through the promotional review and approval process (PRC).

• Continually assesses the training and developmental needs of Hospital account managers through various methods, including regularly scheduled field visits.

• Assists with developing and implementing strategic training plans for new product launches.

• Attends various sales, management and training programs for continued personal and professional growth.

• Evaluates account manager performance and keeps district management informed of progress.

• Facilitates and evaluates role-plays in various selling situations.

• Manage development and implementation of the review process for targeted training interventions.

*Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree +3 years pharmaceutical sales experience

• 1+ years experience calling on teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and selling cardiovascular products

• Experience utilizing adult learning concepts, state-of-the-art training techniques and proven management principles

• Demonstrated project management skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical, medical and managed care environments

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree +5 years pharmaceutical sales experience

• 3+ years experience calling on teaching hospitals, community hospitals, and selling cardiovascular products

• Field trainer, district manager or other training experience
