Associate Media Specialist-Multimedia Developer/
Trainer Academic Technology Services (ATS),
a unit within ITS at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse invites you to apply for our temporary ( up to 6 months), full time position. This position is responsible for providing support for academic and educational creation, conversion, editing, and archiving of a wide variety of digital media. Additionally,training faculty and staff on the use of digital media in their teaching and learning will be your responsibility (an example would be integrating digital media into PowerPoint). The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in digital media creation, and digital media formats along with excellent people and organizational skills.

Recommended Qualifications Must have a minimum of an AA degree in a field related to instructional technology with at least 1 year of experience in multi-media creation and digital file management. Must be proficient with MAC OS and Windows XP/7, have experience with Final Cut Pro or related editing software, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite. Must have multimedia experience in file transfer formats such as .mov, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg, .jpeg. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in using compression software such as Compressor, and DVD burning software such as DVD Studio Pro. Must have a basic understanding of SD and HD multimedia protocols and audio/video/computer signal routing. Successful candidate must be able to work independently, and also in groups. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential. Candidate will work with ATS/ITS professional staff as well as students.
