The Associate Microbiologist is responsible for conducting microbiological tests on raw material components, product intermediates, finished products, purified water, and environmental sites according to established testing procedures for both in-house and contract manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for the preparation, tracking and documentation of all bacteriological media and cell culture records. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to..... * Perform various USP microbiological tests on Raw Material components, Finished Products, and Research and Development samples. * Microbiological analysis of water and environmental samples * Assist with preparation/revision of Standard Operating Procedures * Assist with calibration of laboratory equipment * Support testing program for Stability Samples and Consumer Complaint samples * Perform microorganism identifications using a mixture of traditional and automated methods * Adherence to good documentation practices when reporting all test results. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field. Required: At least one year of work experience in Clinical or Industrial Labs where microbial tests are performed.
