About our client
We are working with one of the most successful European buy-out funds in the world which has a strong focus on China and South East Asia. The fund has successfully raised their second Asian focused fund and has over $500m USD to invest across South East Asia and China. This is an excellent opportunity to work on financial, operational and strategic issues within a growing, professional and supportive team in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
- You will get the opportunity to work on all aspects of the investment process, from performing industry and market research to analysing potential new investments and supporting other team members with the structuring and execution of investments and exits
- Engage with the portfolio businesses to support their development and growth
- Continuous market screening to identify attractive investment opportunities
Skills we’re looking for
- Fluent written and spoken Mandarin is essential
- Analyst training from Investment Banking, corporate finance or consulting
- Top undergraduate academic track record
- Strong analytical skills and excellent commercial judgment
- High level of professionalism, discretion and good judgement
- Great understanding on the market in China and Chinese working culture
- Currently working and living in Shanghai
