Associate Patient Advocate (Temporary) Job in Providence, Rhode Island US

The Associate Patient Advocate provides support in the clinical and office functions of the department. Duties include assisting department staff in patient advocacy and assisting in efficient patient navigation for various clinical functions and procedures. The incumbent is responsbile for accurately scheduling and processing patients. Provides clerical support to staff and performs other job-related duties as may be required.

Required Education
High school graduate. Associates degree preferred and 1-3 years experience in administrative/medical setting or equivalent combination or education and experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, computer competency, and strong typing skills needed. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity to work with terminally ill patients. Proficiency in the English language as well as the Spanish Language preferred. Flexibility in hours needed for possible weekends and evenings.
