Associate Portfolio Manager (Contract) recruitment

Main responsibilities

Daily maintenance of portfolios by implementing changes based on trade recommendations, template changes, and tactical asset allocation changes

Monitoring discretionary accounts to ensure that there are no violations and/or deviation from the target benchmark

Monitoring the performance of client investment portfolios to ensure a fit with client’s objectives.

Planning implementation of new accounts to ensure client portfolios are optimized

Management of new portfolio funding, restructuring and costing. Investment restriction checking at stock and client level

Coordination of corporate action decisions, reporting and communicating investment issues to client facing colleagues

Monitoring of market changes and impact on trade generation - report to PMs.

Constantly reviewing UBS research to ensure client portfolios are optimized

Attendance at client meetings as required
 

Qualifications and Experience:

Must possess a minimum of 1-3 years as an assistant portfolio manager within a Canadian financial institution/investment counsellor (related PM systems experience would be a definite asset)

Proven ability to work effectively under minimal supervision

Canadian Securities Course

CFA level 2 preferable

University degree in Finance or Economics
