Our Client who is involved in Private Equity is committed to identifying and investing in growth companies, typically who have traded for at least a year, and who are seeking capital to expand organically or through acquisition. They have gone from strength to strength and have demonstrated an exceptional track record. They partner with passionate and innovative entrepreneurs and have helped to drive growth in development stage companies, whilst delivering industry-leading returns to their investors.
Their investments range between GBP50million to GBP750 million. They also undertake equity financings of a larger size for the right opportunity, as well as co-invest alongside other firms.
The role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research, write and present industry primers to identify potential areas of investment focus;
- Assist with the due diligence, review and analysis of prospective new primary and secondary private equity fund investments;
- Monitor existing investments under management in private equity funds including completing quarterly reviews of individual funds and underlying portfolio company reviews;
- Create and present portfolio level analysis and performance metrics;
- Build and update valuation models on underlying portfolio companies;
- Prepare detailed memorandums (e.g., investment screening and approval memos);
- Participate in due diligence sessions and review legal documentation;
- Assist with research on targeted investors and preparation of fundraising materials;
- Interact with senior executives at private equity firms in order to obtain information on existing and prospective investments;
- Complete ad-hoc assignments as necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Must have 3 or 5 years exposure gained within MA execution within a Bulge Bracket or Top Tier Boutique. You may already work on the buy-side.
- Must have an Undergraduate degree 2:1 or above
- Fluency in French, German, Italian, Spanish or a Nordic language would be an advantage.
