Reporting directly to the Global Product Manager, the role of Associate Product Development Manager is split into three main areas: Global Market Research, Business Requirements and Competitor Intelligence. Working closely with senior management you will have strategic input into the ongoing direction of the company, sourcing of new target markets and advise on product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of general market conditions and outlook from a global and regional (US, Eurozone, South America, Africa, Asia etc) perspective
- Advising the sales teams across the globe on new target areas and products they should be focusing on in these regions
- Provide analysis on trends in the market, regions and sectors so as to allow senior management to make strategic decisions on the direction of the company and product line
- Reaching out to end user to collect and understanding user requirements
- Understand trend analysis from a macroeconomic stand point and gain a deep understanding on how the end user uses the data
- Assess the competitive positioning of our products
- Conduct competitor intelligence analysis covering pricing, product line, branding and pre / post sales support
Key Requirements
- Degree or above in economics or equivalent finance or research focused degree
- Previous experience of providing research analysis from a market, sector, industry or country perspective
- 5 years experience preferably in investment or finance field with a research focus
- Proactive thinker who can work independently, has an outgoing and confident approach, be able to propose ideas and opinions to clients and management
- Strong knowledge of financial markets with hands-on experience on economic analysis
- Strong understanding of market demand and trends on research tools
