Description
Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Associate Product Manager focused on growth of key product categories within the Distribution division. This individual will manage research and implement numerous product category programs within the Distribution division to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Current categories include, but are not limited to: surgical prep solutions, casting and splinting, saline would flush, pulse oximetry, medical labels, disposable ECG lead wires, and medical bulbs batteries. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and hard-working professional with a solid education or background in Marketing and/or product management, and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
- Manages key alliances with participating vendors.
- Assists with financial and technical justification for program product selection.
- Conducts market research and identifies and targets competitive brand vendors.
- Participates in sales training, sales calls, etc. for the product in order to successfully grow product category.
- Manages day-to-day progress of program and long term strategy both internally and with vendor.
- Creates both internal and external program communications; develops product launches and informational mailings to sales force.
- Provides expertise and training to internal departments in support of program categories.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- previous experience in marketing environment (internships, etc.) highly preferred
- new college graduates welcome to apply
- excellent communication and organizational skills required
- 30% travel required
