Summary:
IDEX Health Science in Rohnert Park, CA, formerly known as Rheodyne, is looking for an experienced and talented Associate Product Manager. The Associate Product Manager is responsible for managing a subset of a designated product line or brand growth through coordination of the required sales, marketing, operations, and engineering activities. The Associate Product Manager will support the brand in interactions with field sales, marketing, engineering, operations, and product development organizations. Often the Associate Product Manager may perform analysis and recommend strategic direction and product life cycle decisions.
Essential Position Functions:
- Analyzes the current mix of product offerings and product performance specifications and defines existing product improvement or value engineering programs or obsolescence to the Product
Manager to stay competitive in the fluidic solutions market while effectively managing internal resources and reducing inventory and scrap.
- Will analyze gross margin reports and develop pricing strategy for brand, for recommendation to the Product Manager.
- Provides regular updates to the Sales and Marketing groups relative to new product announcements, competitive information announcements, new product and /or existing product specifications, new product training, coordination of training new Sales Engineers on existing products, and providing technical information bulletins regarding new features/benefits that provide significant competitive advantage of the Company's products.
- Participates in the planning and execution of the Company's product strategy and road map including a detailed review of product performance (margin, sales volume, and obsolescence of non-profitable lines).
· The Associate Product Manager will coordinate product launch activities and develop supporting promotional materials as assigned.
- Will work closely with Operations and Finance to understand the key elements of product costs including direct material and labor, overhead burden factors. Prioritizes and monitors key programs to reduce costs with functional groups and gain efficiency within the product cost structure to maintain a competitive edge with regard to product value.
- May be involved in the evaluation of distribution channels, products offered, supply policy, and pricing practices to ensure opportunities are capitalized on, profit margins are maintained, and partners are appropriately motivated.
- Gathers and monitors the sales forecasts from customers for a subset of the brand, along with historical data, to
drive atproduce Financial and SIOP forecasts.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years experience and proven technical aptitude and applications knowledge.
- Experience in a product environment targeted as components and/or subsystems for sales into OEM instrument manufacturers, or for complete OEM instrument products for sales to end-users of such equipment highly desirable.
- Familiar with a variety of marketing concepts, practices and procedures.
- Solid understanding of finances, PL and product costing.
- Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers and work within a team environment.
- Multi-lingual is beneficial but not required.
