Associate Project Manager – NC Pharma/Direct Hire (to $50s) Job
Our client, a rapidly-expanding, Triad-based pharmaceutical company, is actively recruiting for a very sharp and capable Associate Project Manager for key role on its Product Development team.
Company is both a Specialty Pharmaceutical firm (generics and branded) as well as a Contract Manufacturing firm. This Associate Project Manager will lead both internal and customer projects. Seek highly versatile candidate who brings both the technical/pharmaceutical knowledge and the organizational/project management skills to be successful.
Position will involve coordinating the resources of all product development functions/departments (regulatory, formulation, chemistry, quality, manufacturing, etc.) to help move them towards a successful outcome. This APM is the development (and customer) point-person who facilitates smart project team planning and execution. Seek a get-things-done candidate who thrives in the point-person role.
Specific responsibilities will include:
§ Work with internal functional areas to accomplish project objectives. Determine topics for team meetings. Publish key decisions and discussion points. Follow action items to completion.
§ Develop detailed project plans and ensure appropriate distribution. Monitor completion and act upon exceptions.
§ Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution within the project and customer teams. Present decisions and recommendations at project gate reviews.
§ Track and monitor timely completion of customer deliverables. Work with commercial team to monitor external client relationships and facilitate conflict/complaint resolution.
§ Facilitate the technology transfer process.
§ Monitor RD development fee status and notify Finance of billing requirements coincident with project development progress and legal agreement schedules.
Selected candidate will offer a related technical degree and 2-4 years of directly-related experience in pharmaceutical product development. While Project Management experience is a plus will consider industry candidates who bring a strong understanding of the product development life cycle as well as proven and exceptional organizational skills. As important, seek an extremely competent professional who can gain the respect and cooperation of colleagues and customers in order to help all to achieve shared success. GMP, regulatory and chemistry knowledge expected and required. Experience with generics and oral dosage forms both preferred. MS Project highly desired.
Company is not funding relocation on this position. This is a Direct Hire role.
