Our client is seeking an Associate Project Manager - Part-Time in Stuart, FL.
Earn $14.01 per hour at this part-time, temporary position. Work 24 hours per week. Days for this position vary.
MAJOR FUNCTION:
Project management of specific civil engineering or development projects. Technical and professional work in the coordination, and review of various activities of state permitting agencies and other County departments as they relate to the planning, design, and construction of maintenance or development projects.
ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Reviews minor site plans, construction plans, plats, single-basin stormwater management reports, and traffic studies for compliance with County's Land Development Regulations
- Coordinates permit application process and requirements with other divisions, agencies and departments
- Checks future roadway construction plans for conformance County and FDOT standards
- Identifies proposed right-of-way changes
- Liaisons with developers and their agents regarding technical and procedural deficiencies
- Interprets subdivision and platting codes
- Informs the public on code requirements and permit application process
- Performs field visits to review progress of projects and to review conditions of site plan approval
- Checks for special exceptions affecting the permit
- May review and make recommendations regarding FEMA floodplain certificates or variances
- Liaisons with contractors, public agencies, and utilities to provide or obtain information and resolve problems
- May attend pre-construction meetings, pre-bid meetings, and bid openings and may be assigned specific tasks related to contract administration
- Perfoms work related to this job description as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of civil engineering. principles, concepts and methodologies, practical knowledge of a wide range of technical methods, principles and practices and skill in applying such knowledge to assignments within the scope of this job description
- Ability to understand planning studies and to analyze information and formulate substantive recommendations based upon such studies
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting criteria for development projects
- Ability to interpret technical plans
- Ability to apply principles of site planning and design
- Ability to review and recommend approval of plans and specifications prepared by others
- Ability to present ideas and design proposals graphically,verbally, and in writing to County staff, other governmental agencies, and the public

- Works in a normal office environment
- Performs some field work
- Occasionally lifts, stoops, bends, and reaches
- May spend long periods of time at a computer or keyboard
