Associate, Quantitative Analyst recruitment
The Quantitative Analytics group provides independent research and investment consulting services to the institutional asset management community. The group designs and develops individual factors and multi-factor models across a range of asset classes by applying a systematic evaluation process to a variety of fundamental, technical, and industry-specific data sources.
Duties and Accountabilities
• Reading research, including familiarizing him/herself with academic research and Wall Street trade research
• Author papers summarizing academic and research insights as well as contribute to papers on Markit's point of view
• Lead the development, testing and construction of Markit models and factors
• Serve as direct client point of contact, including answering questions regarding research or models generated for clients; checking market performance and assisting with general technology inquiries
• Coordinate nightly production process between research staff and IT team
• Manage other projects as assigned
Education and Experience
• Advanced degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative discipline
• MBA and/or CFA a plus
• A minimum of 3-5 years industry work experience
• Experience in a quantitative environment, including knowledge of equity investment strategies, backtesting and optimization
