We are currently seeking an Associate RD Technologist to join the Dunkin' Brands team!

Responsible for conducting bench top testing, analytical tests, and evaluations on food and beverage products and processes in accordance with established standards.  The position compiles data and assists in the preparation of technical reports.  The position assists in the preparation of new products to marketing, executives and field teams.  The position is also responsible for keeping the laboratory inventory, ordering key raw material for bench-top scale up experiments and is also responsible for equipment maintenance.  As well to participate in all team events, projects and programs.

The primary accountabilities for this position include:

·         Product sample preparation, execution of product/process tests, and assistance in the preparation of technical reports/lab book documentation that provide that basis for our intellectual knowledge.

·         Participation in product development team meetings in order to coordinate materials and understand objectives to conduct bench top testing and research. 

·         Maintain the laboratory environment for accurate reporting of test results.  Manage the laboratory inventory and coordinate shipping and receiving of key ingredients.  Coordinate with facilities management on the repair and maintenance of analytical equipment and laboratory upkeep. 

·         Executes sensory testing of new products.

·         Supports Cross-Functional relationships.

·         Prepare “best in class” products for all marketing collateral.

·         Preparation of product samples for senior level PD staff and marketing evaluation, executive and franchisee presentation.   Assist with other team members for proper product for corporate and media events; product evaluations, tv/photo shoots, market research.

·         Work with commercialization to support and validate culinary gold standard.

·         Work with Technologists and managers to support development of culinary spec’s, proper lab book documentation and support a working archive of innovation.                                                                                                           

·         Lab environment - responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and proper calibration of all lab areas and equipment.  For the preventive maintenance schedule.  For ingredient inventory management, raw material ordering, invoice processing, finished product shipping and receiving.

·         Support the development of new and calendar initiatives through bench work, innovation sessions, an understanding of the competition and our customer.

 

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

 

·         Associate Degree required: formal education in food science, culinary arts, or related studies.

·         Bachelor Degree preferred: formal education in food science, culinary arts, related studies, with relevant college internship experience.

·         Minimum 1 year relevant RD experience.
