Associate recruitment
This person will work directly with the founder and MD, and will also have significant client interaction. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic start-up at a critical stage of growth, and in turn to have a notable impact on driving the expansion and development of the business. Additionally, Turn-Key’s mandates involve working directly with the senior management of companies and alongside experienced investors; the job therefore provides attractive personal development opportunities.
The requirements of the role include:
-
Financial modelling is a core product, so a strong grasp and passion for financial modelling and analytics is essential;
- Candidates need some formal training in finance and accounting, and a good handle on financial statement analysis, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in building the following models (in Excel) will be advantageous: general accounting and financial statement projection models, LBO models, valuation and investment models.
- A meticulous attention to detail is a necessity.
-
We also draft presentations and information memoranda for clients, which includes managing accompanying research and analytics, and transferring information into deliverables for clients’ internal and external use;
- Candidates need to be resourceful in order to find relevant information to explain an issue or answer a question for a client, investor or lender, and then communicate this concisely in writing (and also verbally for that matter).
- An analytical ability to take information and data, and distil into a succinct yet informative set of slides or pages, including building useful and complementary graphics.
- Proficiency in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is highly advantageous.
- As a start-up with a heavy focus on client services, having a positive attitude is a key tenet of the business; we are looking for people who will do whatever is needed for Turn-Key and our clients, and do so with passion and a smile.
- We believe strongly in continuous improvement, so are looking for driven people who are keen to continually improve the service we provide clients, and adopt this same philosophy personally.
- The ideal candidate would have up to 5 years of experience in investment banking, principal investing, corporate finance advisory or accounting.
The overall compensation package will be competitive, and outperformance will be rewarded (including the possibility of partnership / profit sharing / equity over time). Start date is summer 2012, with an immediate start possible. If interested, please send your CV and a covering paragraph to info@tkpartners.co.uk. Thank you!
