The purpose of this position is to be a main point of internal support for Sales Directors who focus on Investment Management Outsourcing for our Corporate and Nonprofit market segments. The Associate Regional Director is responsible and accountable for working closely with Sales Directors in collecting prospect information, preparing for initial contact, follow up requests, final meetings, review of final RFP's and engaging in prospecting activities as determined by the Segment heads and Sales Directors. The ARD will work in conjunction with the Sales Directors, taking a team approach to ensure Russell Investments meet its sales objectives and maximize time and effort in the market.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Fully support all active prospect opportunities being managed by RD's from initial contact, follow up requests, final reviews for RFP, final preparation and coordination of dry run presentations.
- Actively prospect for Investment Management Outsourcing opportunities as determined by Segment heads and RD's.
- Utilize various communications and client relationship management systems to track prospect interactions, needs, and trends.
- Partner with RD's to build a territory business plan - communicate daily with RD's to ensure proper coverage of prospects.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- Sales experience within the financial industry, i.e. brokerage, banking, financial planning, etc.
- Deep knowledge of the financial industry - especially mutual funds, separate accounts, portfolio construction and asset allocation.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Superb problem-solving and research abilities.
- Desire and ability to advance into a Sales Director role after material success as an ISA.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills - especially via e-mail and phone.
- Ability to solve a variety of deep investment and practice management problems.
- Proven organizational skills - ability to juggle multiple projects and proposals simultaneously.
- Excellent responsiveness to prospect's needs.
- Strong leadership sensibility to do what's right for the prospect and to assist in proactively leading the territory.
- Highly collaborative with a demonstrated track record of success in a team environment.
- Series 7 and 63 strongly preferred (must be able to obtain within 90 days).
