Role Context

 

Our client is a highly regarded global financial services firm that provides advice to companies and institutional investors worldwide. From its offices across Europe, North America and the Middle East, it has advised over 500 of the world’s most sophisticated corporations and institutional investors from over 25 countries.

 

The UK and Nordic Global Relationship Management Team is located in London. Working under the direction and mentorship of the Head of the team, the new hires will provide support to the Global Relationship Managers (GRMs) in their business development and client relationship activities. Our client is ideally looking to employ two new ARMs, one for the Nordic market and one for the UK.

 

 

Purpose of the Role

 

The ARM will join a strong team of Global Relationship Managers and support them in achieving income growth from existing and new customers. They will be entering the company at a senior level, and will bring the capacity to strengthen the combined sales capabilities of the team, by adding greater depth with their strong sales and product knowledge. The role will involve the following:

 

o Building relationships with the Business Development Directors and provide ongoing dedicated support

o Improving GRM productivity by releasing them from some tasks such as client calling and RFP responses

o Improving GRM meetings preparation by performing in-depth research on clients, and customising in-house sales and research materials

o Developing a client and prospects portfolio from identified targets

o Developing in this role to become a GRM

 

 

Principal responsibilities

 

The candidates’ responsibilities will entail:

 

o Preparing for client meetings: research on the client, KYC completion

o Production of sales materials: presentations, pitches, contracts

o RFP completion

o Attending client meetings alongside the GRMs and Research specialists, producing post-meeting notes and taking responsibility for follow-up actions

o Ensuring sales force CRM system is maintained and contains accurate, up-to-date client data and meeting notes

o Interfacing with fund managers

 

 

Education Experience

 

o Our client is looking for candidates with strong academic background, ideally to include an MBA or similar degree if the undergraduate degree is not in finance/economics.

o 2-5 years of relevant professional experience ideally, but not necessarily, with either an Asset Manager, Investment Bank or Consulting firm.

o Fluent English and at least one other European language will be an advantage. For the Nordic role, fluency in either Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish is desirable.
