The area: Online Sales and Operations, Product Quality Operations
The Product Quality Operations (PQO) team defends the integrity of Google, its users, and partners worldwide by defining and communicating product policies, fighting spam, fraud, and abuse across Google products. We are dedicated to protecting Google's brand and reputation and ensuring product quality to the company's expanding base of advertisers, publishers, and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis. We partner with our Product Managers and Engineers to fight fraud and abuse across a broad range of products such as Google Search, AdWords, AdSense, Checkout and Maps. This means that PQO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative - and able to work well in a fast-paced, global, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment while demonstrating technical know-how, effective communication and getting things done.
The role: Associate, Search Quality
As a Search Quality Associate, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to improve the quality of Google Search results, with a direct impact on millions of Google users. You will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams in a multifaceted effort to improve the search experience. You will lead efforts to improve our processes for identifying and resolving quality issues. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, exploring new technologies, and ensuring a high-quality experience for our users.

Responsibilities:
- Investigate, analyze and resolve quality issues and market trends related to Google Search and other products.
- Identify areas for improvement or automation in our quality processes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and product vulnerabilities to implement large-scale quality improvements in collaboration with Google Engineering teams.
- Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives within Google.
- Be an expert in search quality and educate Googlers and users on search and related projects and products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
- 1 year of experience or a new graduate.
- Experience with a coding language (C/C++, Python, HTML, Javascript).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline.
- Interest in innovation, technology, and Google products.
- Ability to identify complex problems and implement creative, data-driven solutions.
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Experience at an Internet company or in a web-research related role.
